The top eight on the team that are returning would make me happy.

I think this UConn team would have beaten Baylor. Who guards Stewart? It's difficult to guard both Stewart and Lewis.

UConn and Louisville both have some people coming back. But, that top six from UConn---that is the wow!

Lewis was very impressive in their game against Baylor and Stewart was a non-factor. Stewart has vastly improved since that game.

I concur on Baylor. UConn just seemed to be hitting on all cylinders in the tourney.

I also really like Stokes for UConn. And Chong is a PG so that gives them three now. She did okay averaging 33 ppg. :facepalm

Here's an old article about Stewart's team beating Chong's.

I normally root for the underdog, and I was pulling for Louisville tonight, even though I really admire (and envy) Auriemma and his UCONN program.

Except for the fact that I didn't want to see Baylor to win any further in the Dance, I'd have liked to have seen UCONN dismantle the Bears as they dismantled a good Louisville team tonight.
Louisville caught lightning in a bottle when they played Baylor; it really didn't surprise me that UCONN crushed them tonight.

I agree with Norm: had Baylor and UCONN played for all the marbles tonight, I think that the Huskies win by 10.

Nothing against Louisville but if they were going to have the game of their life I'm glad they had it when they did. Something just tasted better with Baylor losing the way they did.

After UConn's previous game I just watched Brianna Stewart instead of the game. That girl has incredible basketball smarts - she knows exactly where to go and when to go there - on offense and defense. It is no wonder she scores and gets rebounds - like Whitney Hand. Stewart is going to be an incredible star for UConn.

I think I'd give about anything just to have the second unit intact from UConn.

They are the most talented, best coached team I have ever seen in women's basketball. Hell, maybe in all of sports.

Unbelievable talent, drive, strategy and coaching. It was amazing to watch.

Stewart..... there are absolutely no superlatives to describe her. By the time she is a senior, she could very easily be the greatest to play the game, IMO.

Someone told me once that the ideal 'big' player was a girl who was a guard early in her career and mastered all the guard skills and then grew several inches after she masted those skills. That's what Stewart reminds me of.

Can you imagine an All-Star team of:

Griner
Delle Donne
Diggins
Lewis
Stewart

Was Griner the greatest of all time or just the tallest athletic of all time?

Griner wasn't a bad athlete, and she did learn to pass and shoot free throws. But, I doubt that we would have heard her name if she had been 6-1. She might have started somewhere, but she wouldn't have been all that noticeable. A 6-1 forward who isn't that good of a rebounder at 6-8 isn't likely to have caused much of a stir.

But she is 6-8, and extremely skilled. I think Norm's analysis is true. She's the best center ever to play the game.
