Will we see any zone against WV? I know we haven't played zone all year long, and so it might not be smart to try it all of a sudden, but West Virginia is such a bad 3 pt shooting team. Heck, they are bad shooting team in general. They are 2nd to last in the big 12 in 3pt %, and they are under 40% from 2 as well.
I feel like if we forced them to make jump shots away from home, they would struggle mightily. Although, zoning them would make it hard to keep them off the offensive glass which they like to do.
Our switching man defense almost turns into zone at times, so maybe it would be that much of a difference?
Or do we stick to a defense we already do pretty well? I think I would at least like to see us mix it up a bit…what say you?
