They mail it in for the year and go one and done. Or they come out pissed off and written off by everyone else and kills the 11/12 seed and makes a sweet 16 run or better.

Lets hope they play with urgency right from the start, because you know the other team will.

Let's just hope we can win one game first and then worry about what comes after that.

I guarantee you the only ones writing off the Sooners are the Chicken Littles among our own fans. There's no shame in losing by five in a conference tourney to arguably the hottest team in a very tough conference, especially when you've beaten that team twice already.

This loss will not reverberate across college hoops like some major upset. It was basically a pick 'em game, and it ended up being a tightly contested battle. That's all the average fan or commentator will take away from today's loss.

when I saw the bracket I thought it set up well for texas and Baylor against us. Nothing against our team but it's really hard to beat a team 3 times in a year (except TCU). I thought Baylor had a great chance to win this because they're hot.

I meant it as like an extreme. Come out flat and get blown out by the 11 or just dominate from the start, no median.

we're not gonna dominate from the start even if we play well, we're not good enough and 3 pt shooting teams don't impose their will on opponents. If we play well and get the right match ups we have a chance to play on the 2nd weekend.

Some people really need to put this in perspective. We have had a great season.....and it's not over fellas.

I respectfully disagree. If we got hot like we did against KSU, we can dominate a game.

No, it's not. It just doesn't feel good going into the NCAA's not winning a conference tournament game, again. It just means that you don't bet OU to win the natty haha. No team has ever won a title after losing their first conference tournament game (NOVA, Us, some ACC team tomorrow)

I agree but the first half was unacceptable.

We should really be the Oklahoma Chicken Littles instead of the Sooners!!! I think it's more appropriate.

Of course it was, but how often has a half like that happened this season? Twice now?

We do have a lot of bad stretches of offense at critical points though. We just need that dynamic go-to guy, which is usually, but not always, Buddy.

Things go better if Buddy hits his first shot. It would help a lot if he has two good scoring halves.

Obviously but that is true for the leading scorer of every team and they usually don't. How many times has Smart, Wiggins, Austin, Kane, Statton, Ejim, etc. had a bad or average half. When guys like that have two good halves, they tend to push 30 points a game.

Typically these players will get 5-8 in one half and 10+ in the other to hit their averages of 16+.
