I've gone back and forth between 8-3 and 9-2 in the non con. Right now, I think we finish at 10-8 in conference....then go 1-1 in the Big 12 tournament. So I'm looking at something in 19-12/20-11 range before the NCAAs.
I got chills watching the exhibition. These next few years will continue to be a blast. Our group of freshman look further along than buddy's. This class will be scary
#4 would be outstanding, but I feel like a 5th place finish in conference, and winning the conference tournament would result in far better than a #8 seed. Baylor finished 5th in conference last season, got bounced in the semi-finals in KC, and wound up with a #5 seed. Every season is different, but that seems like an unlikely scenario.
I think:
1. 4th place conference finish (11-7).
2. James & Woodard 2nd team all conference. Lattin DPOY. McGusty first team all freshman.
3. Finish regular season 20-9. Win a game in KC, but get bounced in the semis.
I'm trying to just enjoy the reloading/rebuilding process. Not here to make an actual prediction, other than Oklahoma will win ball games and lose ball games this year. Tough early schedule too, so I think we could be way better at the end of the year with all the young talent we have accumulated. Tourney Sleeper?
