I was at the Wednesday practice last week and even overheard Mike Sheperd tell a fan who it was, but it wasn't a name I recognized. The recruit sat with Sam Grooms for much of the practice in street clothes, and finally went back to put on workout gear and was warming up as practice ended. I would guess he was about 6'3" and was slender. It could have been a local player because I didn't see any parents with him.

It was an easy mistake to make. I think McGusty was supposed to be here last week but he sprained an ankle the weekend before at the NBPA Top 100 event. That probably forced a change in plans.

I will never understand why schools like Arizona State, LSU, and even OSU can get top recruits every now and then, but OU just can't seem to land top tier talent. It's crazy.

Come on man. It's highly unlikely either end up at OU from what it looks like. Kids decommit all the time now. Some end up picking 4 schools before they end up somewhere. Likely not heading back to OU.
