OU announced they finalized their schedule this morning. You can read about it here: http://www.soonersports.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=31000&ATCLID=211770644

Interesting that trips to two places we can't seem to win bookend the conference slate.

On the bright side, at least we get the game in Lawrence out of the way early :) If we're really lucky, maybe some of their students will still be hung over from New Year's celebrations.

Are we going to have more wins than losses? We could have a losing record entering conference play.

Agreed. There aren’t many cupcakes in our non-con schedule, that’s for sure. A 500 win-loss record might not be all that bad.

I heard an interview with Coach Kruger the other day (I think it was during the ISU game), and he said this was the toughest non-conference schedule we've played in 30 or 40 years. Of course, he spun it all positively and acted excited but I sensed just a bit that he might not be all that thrilled about the schedule (I could have misinterpreted). Surely the coach has major input in those decisions, no?

It's kinda cool though. After UTSA the Sooners start this long ramp up which hits a crescendo at the Jan. 2nd (at KU) - Jan. 5th (bedlam) period. That Taco tech game days later looks like this HUGE letdown time. It's way busy. Then you're a few games into conference and the end of season push starts.

A losing record isn’t kinda cool. This years team is not the team to play the toughest noncon schedule in years.

I'm excited about the schedule. A lot of seniors should help plus a ton of exposure playing all these quality opponents. I remember one year (not last year) where OU was top 10 with a crap non-conf and don't even think they made the tourney.

Surely they had already built most of the schedule with the expectation that Trae would still be here...
