2021 tg3

Brandon Drumm’s forte is football. I don’t have a problem with his coverage on the sport he spends most of his time on.

Collin Kennedy is the 247 reporter who covers basketball. I have been pleased with the job he has done lately!

Yes, me too. It was Drumm's football coverage that I was sort of defending up above. He doesn't offer much on basketball.

I subscribe to both the 247 and Rivals sites. I like Josh Mc at Rivals the best but like Drumm, too. He repeats himself in an article but puts out a ton of information. He’s my second favorite .... even more than the Bone man.... Bob P

Hearing that it could be because of creative differences with Alexander and his family & how he’ll be used in the offense?

Are you saying OU is losing ground on Trey Alexander? That would be a pretty big cluster...

So big I don’t even want to think about it!

In an offense that gives players the freedom to use their skills to create plays and shots by going one on one, how can there be “creative differences?” Buddy, Cousins, Odomes, CJ, TY and even Harmon last year are examples of the players who were given a free reign to create on their own.

Assuming this report is accurate, is this something new?

I would think about the family and a certain former player with the same last name. That might help you draw some conclusions as to the issues OU is having with this kid. This is all an assumption based off info I've read though.

I come after Kruger as much as most on here recently, but in a battle between an accomplished coach and a 17-18 yr old kids about where they might fit into the offense.......I'll take Kruger 9 times out of 10.

I hope it gets worked out, of course, but I'd rather see a kid go elsewhere than come to OU, be disgruntled for a season or two and then transfer.

In any case, I wouldn't jump to the assumption that it was a "cluster" on the part of Kruger and Co. Our coach certainly has shown the willingness to give his players freedom on the offensive end, but we're dealing with a teenager and (quite possibly) his family and extended circle who may be in his ear with who knows what kind of nonsense.

What could the issue be if you’re a perimeter player? My only guess is that he wants to play point?

I thnk that's it. And OU like Cortes better for that role. To be honest, I do too.

Absolutely. Alexander had the ball in his hands a ton at HH last year but that was just because he was better than everyone else. Harmon & Cortes are easily better PGs. But even if that’s the issue Reaves & Doolittle were the best playmakers last year.

Wonder how this affects things with Collins. Paging Seymore Cox!

Ive made it clear that if Kruger strikes out on everyone besides Cortes then he needs to go. Just my own stupid opinion. He is getting his ass absolutely whipped on the recruiting trail by the dirty coaches in this region. Can’t say I’m surprised by this development.

So you’d rather him lie to Alexander & tell him he’ll be the pg?

lol

If that’s what it takes to get him on campus then yes I would say so. Once he gets here and sees we have a very open structure of mostly combo guards he probably won’t mind being one of the primary ball handlers. If not, he can transfer and sit out a year. Better than landing some plan c guy.

It is what it is at this point. When u can’t get the elite guys in your own state (and can’t replace them with an equally talented out of state player) then you probably aren’t the man for the job anymore.

If Kruger does lose these guys maybe he can have a TV show like Bobby Knight about walkons, and get some guys that way. HAHA! Chill, anti-negativy nellies! Breathe. It was a joke. Back up from the keyboard...

Does make you wonder just what the hell they've been talking about his entire recruitment?
