Coaches tab Texas as 2026 SEC Women’s Basketball Champion - Southeastern Conference

Texas is predicted to win the 2026 Southeastern Conference women's basketball championship in a vote of the league’s coaches.

This has the all conference teams…Raegan 1st team Payton 2nd team. Both sets of teams have 8 players

I hope Chavez is on one of these lists by the end of the season (hopefully freshman of the year). That'll mean she had a great freshman year!

Sounds like Brooklyn Stewart is going to be good for us per Raegan Beers and Jennie. And Keizah sounds promising as well. Zya sounds to be making progress got better. Along with Payton and Sahara.

At the 18:30 mark of the press conference Jennie talks about Zya having to make the switch from making an impact off the bench to being a starter. I still expect Brooklyn and Keziah will need to play close to 20 minutes each as the first subs for the 1 through 4 positions.

Another interesting note was in talking about Raegan she mentions that she has improved mobility…so that goes with our noticing that she looks leaner after the summer. Also Raegan mentioned in her interview with KK Bransford that she was working on improving the versatility of her game.

The fact we play so many rank teams this year is eye boggling. And we host some of them too! I sure hope fans come pack the LNC when the ladies play at home.

Oh, I was only looking at the first 10. All those teams have similar schedules as well. WBB is getting very competitive and a whole lot of fun since the conferences started consolidating.
