She is a tall shooting guard....also has ability to drive to the basket. On our team I would say Caya Smith is the best comparison...but a better shooter and a notch lower in quickness and athleticism.

Maybe a cross between Payton and Leah Rush. Never know how they will pan out, but looking forward to watching the 3 new ones coming in next year.

Unless we pick up an AA center out of the portal it’ll be Brooklyn Stewart would be my guess. Possibly LeeLee Bell if she comes in ready as a freshman.

Well Brooklyn is gonna have to put some weight on if she is going to be our center. But I doubt she will be a center for us because she is too good on defense that can defend small guards well. I can see Leelee possibly being a bigger and probably better version of Skylar Vann. But I think OU is going to the Portal for a Big. I believe they don’t really have a choice. With players like Zya, Aaliyah, Caya and Keziah we need a True big regardless.

We need for sure a proven Center from the portal….if possible I would like us to get second C/PF….bigs often take a year to get ready and develop for college that is a lot more physical than high school or club

Agreed. If we don't want to take a massive step backwards I believe we will need to get a portal center. With what we have coming back/coming in we only have two forwards (Stewart & Bell) and they would essentially have to play out of position and/or be a tad undersized, which could hurt us in the SEC. I have faith that JB will find someone. I also believe we need 1 or 2 veteran guards/wings from the portal as well if we want to keep moving forward as a program. Looking at 'lesser' programs that continue to land midmajor talent via the portal year after year makes me think it's achievable, just a matter if JB is willing to risk offending some younger players/resulting in transfers by getting someone that can play immediately for us. It's a tricky situation to be in as a coach!

we do not need no Forwards. We have Sahara coming back next season and Brooklyn and Leelee is coming in. We good there. I definitely believe we could a experience guard or two and Center or 2. Thats all we really need. Other than that we are fine everywhere else.

I think that’s normal now. Some will get offended and may leave, but every team seems to be recruiting for the year now. I would think there’s been enough portal results to understand the risk of leaving. Although, it has worked great for some. Does hurt the fan base as we care about the team and girls on it. If the roster size stays close to 12, I don’t see a big deal in picking up experienced players. But I want the rest to stay and attendance to increase.

I just hope we aggressively pursue a center because last season every player we pursued we seemed to miss out on and I wonder if it's a matter of not being aggressive enough? We don't bring someone in to soften the blow of losing beers and Verhulst it could be a rough beginning to next season..

I don't think was because we weren't aggressive enough. Players in the portal want to go to a team where they will start, not spend most of their time on the bench. Any center we courted last year knew that they would see a lot of playing time this year. They went somewhere that offered them a starting role.
