2026 Recruiting Class and Commitments (Bell/Murray/Höllerl signed)

hopefully they have a better strategy in the portal this next offseason than they did this last one, we will need to replace a lot of scoring. And talent. And need more depth to compete against elite teams. Fingers crossed!

You have no idea about that.
From what I have heard, I would put it around 40% that she leaves. Which is very high, for a star of a team.

Imagine for example, Jeremiah Smith had a 40% chance of leaving Ohio State for, say, LSU or UT. That is astronomical, given how big of a star he is for tOSU. Same thing here. UT and LSU have already been snooping, and I would guess UCONN and Tennessee and South Carolina will soon. There is a ceiling at OU for her that is not applicable at schools like those. They are on a different level, money-wise.

40% is not likely. Likely would be something over 50%. So actually if its 40% thats unlikely
Compared to the % of a star transferring from UT or UCONN, it is. A star at those schools, it's a 0% chance of leaving. A star at OU with 40% is likely.

If Chavez left i'd be very confused and sad. She plays almost all game long every game, what more could she want? Guarantee that if she does transfer to another P4 school that's 'better' than us, she won't play as much, and would be benched more. I hope she sticks around all 4 years and improves every year and becomes a legend. I know the odds aren't very high in this day and age of portal transfers, but wouldn't this team be so impressive by the time these freshmen are seniors, if they all stuck together? Assuming JB keeps bringing in top 100 players out of high school...

It’ll be interesting if she does leave. It’ll set the program back quite a bit. I’m not sure what she would want more out of a program. She is getting the shots she wants she just isn’t making them. I’d argue if she was shooting a better percentage, we might have won a couple of more games we have lost. If she does leave for a UConn or South Carolina, she will have to alter her style of play.

40% may be MORE likely than at Uconn or South Carol but still more likely she stays than that she leaves if its 40%. Statistics don't lie

Statistics can manipulate and bastardize the truth. I hope she stays, but given how far OU is from winning anything of consequence, I don't know if they can keep her. A big school would have no problem keeping her.

I have to ask: Why do you think she came here in the beginning? With your line of thinking, why didn't she just go to a bigger school that easily could have paid her? Just maybe she connected with the coaches and players and wanted to be here. I guess time will tell.
