'24 NCAA Tourney Discussion Thread

We weren't that far from being towards the top of the Big 12 really. Beat Iowa State this year in a game that wasn't close. Nearly beat Houston. We had flaws this year. But it wasn't like the last few years where we just weren't as athletic as the rest of the conference.
It’s funny how you trash some of the teams playing yesterday and today based on 40 minutes, but you watched us lose a bunch of double digit games and finish a mile back in the conference, yet somehow think we were not far from the top of the league. We were closer to last place than we were to second place. Most our losses were noncompetitive. And apparently you didn’t watch the Iowa State game. WE WERE BEHIND WITH 4 MINS LEFT. Still a very impressive win but it’s just not honest to say that game wasn’t close.

1000% agree.
All we needed were about 10 possessions in each of five or six games to go a different way lol. There are a lot of takes that I disagree with but they are reasonable. But I have zero idea how anyone could make this claim if they actually watched us play and aren’t just a blind homer.

Nebraska is able to score on A&M but just can't defend at all.
A&M beats Nebraska. They were 15-13 just a couple of weeks ago, now they're in the round of 32. Buzz was looking for a safe landing...might still be. I think the Ags are happy with him now.

Nebraska is still the only Power conference school that has never won a NCAA tournament game.

Houston is jumping on Longwood 10-0 early.

JMU is up early on Wisconsin.

Big 10 having a rough first round along with the SEC.

May have happened more recently than I can remember, but when is the last time 3 teams scored 100+ points in regulation in 1) a single day of the NCAA Tournament, and/or 2) the first round of the NCAA Tournament?

As often as 1/16s and 2/15s blow out wins it's probably happened more often than you think but probably not the last 10-15 years as much.

I'm not sure I would say Big 10 is having it rough. Purdue, Illinois, Northwestern, and Michigan St. have all won. Nebraska only one to lose so far. Wisconsin is trailing in first half by 9 currently, but still time to come back.

Auburn losing has already killed by family bracket.

Isn’t longwood a team we used to play often when Sampson was our coach? Now they’re a tourney team for a day.

TCU and Utah State in a good one. Danny Sprinkle did a great job … first year there, returned no points from last season’s team.

Something else that is popping off of the page is how good these teams are at making the pocket pass off of a screen. We are no where near these other team's ability. Watching james madison make the play right over and over

Tournament is all about teams like James Madison, what a well coached team with talent and some size. They look like a top 15 team in the country and only have a weak Duke squad standing between them and an Elite 8.

James Madison ML bet along with Utah State ML may end up saving my bacon today. I had a bad day yesterday.....went 2-5. And after these two aforementioned ML bets, I'm just going to live bet moving forward. Although I absolutely love the Zags -4.5 tomorrow.

Uhhhh.....Houston might have something to say about them making the Elite 8.

My brain tells me that would be a good bet, but I hate KU so much I can’t be objective when it comes to them. Sometimes it seems like they are at their best on the rare occasions when they are underdogs. But I’d love for the Zags to put a butt-whipping on them.

Future Big 12 team vs Dayton starts off the round of 32. 9-8 at the first timeout.

Arizona is looking pretty good.

Big 12 next year will be pretty much impossible.

this is were the tournament suffers sometimes in the 2nd round only having 1 game going and its one sided, maybe Dayton can come back but turning it off till 2:15....
