#4 in AP

Four Big 12 teams in the Top 10, with TCU barely hanging on at #24. No other Big 12 teams are ranked. Makes the conference appear a bit more top-heavy than it is, I think.

I personally think this is tcu’s low water mark for the rest of the year. They have had a rough go to start conference play with 3 games against 2 of the best teams.

What a joy this season has been. My expectation was to get into the tourney. I never dreamed that the team would be ranked #4.

What a fun year.

I think you're probably right.

Tough being #5 in this conference but Jamie Dixon is doing a great job.

The easiest road games in the conference are probably OSU and ISU. Those have not been easy road wins for 30 years. Leonard Hamilton won at home in Stillwater. And the here's Johnnie bit at ISU was awesome in the 80s.

This demonstrates how tough this conference is.

Yep. We are only a 3 pt favorite at KSU and all of us who choose not to bet on this game will gladly take a 1 pt win.

Lord, yes. My betting days were over several years ago, but I'll personally be tickled pink with a double overtime, come-from-behind, one-point win at Manhattan. That's been one difficult place for us to get a 'W' in recent years.

What's the deal with Manhattan? We never win there. Last time I remember was some fluke when Pledger went off. Been awhile. The thing is those teams are never that great....

Great memory. I confirmed that on Soonerstats. Not only are you correct about the last win, you are correct about Pledger. He had 30 shooting 57% from 3, 65% from the field and 100% from the line. You get a gold star

I'm speechless. I love the way the offense is running through TY and his uncanny ability to stretch the defense out to half court. It's impossible to defend because TY is too quick and crafty with the ball to defend out that far. IF TY couldn't hit those spectacular 3's with consistency, defenders would assuredly sag back as they do with anyone else and keep our offense on the outside. Of course TY changes everything with just the threat and the result is an offense that's almost unstoppable. As we've seen, the only way is to knock TY around and off the spots where he's trying to get to. If refs allow this than it takes OU out of their offense because TY can't dribble drive effectively (with arms draped around him of course).

OU being ranked in the top5 is insane given where we dropped to last year. But OU deserves that ranking and this isn't all TY's doing despite him being a huge part of the offense. OU is deep this year and despite TY being on the bench has played with talented teams to a draw or better. OU might be the #1 team in the nation right now given the talent around TY. When the year started I wasn't thinking Final Four but now I am. In fact.. I'm thinking TY might be the best freshman I've seen lead a team since Carmelo Anthony. OU lost to Anthony @ the Elite Eight that year w/a Hollis Price led Sooner squad. I'm thinking TY can lead us to our first ever NCAA tourney championship just as Anthony led Syracuse to their first ever NCAA tourney championship. The similarity's are there.

HAHA thanks. Yeah I remember how incredulous Frank Martin was. They were much better and we swept them. I think it was Lon's first year maybe? Anyway yeah it was satisfying!

Actually Lon has won lost of games in Manhattan but only one as OU's head coach. Lon Kruger was the coach in the game referenced above. (according to soonerstats)

Maybe. The lower part of the conference is pretty strong but I think the top 5 has separated itself from the bottom five and that top 5 is really, really good.

We're sixth in the Coaches' Poll, two spots behind Wichita State. Which makes no sense.
