5* player talking OU to Ishmail Wainright...

There is a long-time oSu poster with a similar message board handle on rivals.com...said Blake was 6'6" at best and would struggle in the B12 a few years ago. See how that turned out? CLK has NEVER been at a school with the resources and tradition of OU, think I'll give him a chance before I just write him off.

He hates OU so much, he can't stay away...

So fess up, RC, what school do you support????????????????

Back to the actual point of this thread.

The five star player is Julius Randle, and if that's not great news it sounds like Randle is the one talking up OU to Wainright, not the other way round.

I'm here for OU. I just don't like the fact we are paying National Championship money for a borderline AARP, first round exit coach.

It's nice to see the excitement and the positive feedback for OU basketball again. I, for one, was down in the dumps so far I thought it might take me a year or two to climb out.

What Coach Kruger and his staff have accomplished in a little more than two weeks is nothing short of remarkable. :OUbball-logo:

:clap

I really dont think many people think many people are expecting a final 4 out of Kruger but to act like getting back in the tournament on a consistent basis under Kruger is something to be sad about is ridiculous.

Did you not sit through the last 2 seasons or losing?

With the state of the program and the recent NCAA issues isn't Kruger one of the best coaches at righting the ship?

Isn't that what OU needs?

Then given his age he can retire after another successful righting the ship, OU is an attractive job again and Joe C can go out and hire the coach that takes OU to the next level.

The reason many see you as a troll is that you are giving Kruger no credit as a coach. Many of your posts so far has been belittling him acting like OU will remain in the bottom. Sure it might happen but to discredit his track record of consistently winning games during his college coaching year is illogical.

As of today, making the tournament next year would be a fantastic coaching job. Additionally, making the tournament in 3 years will also be a great coaching job. I could honestly see Kruger do an outstanding job at OU and come out of the gate with a 0-3 NCAA record in his first three seasons. If that happens, it could take Kurger 10 years at OU just to have a .500 record in the NCAA Tournament. (0-3 years 1-3, 1-1 years 4 through 6, 2-1 years 7-10 equals a .500 record in the NCAA Tournament) Lets not repeat the Sampson era by bashing our coach for exceeding expectations early but not winning first round games his first few seasons at OU.

obviously, people that hang around the message boards like to play on the computer. so, it shouldn't be too much trouble to go thru the last couple of weeks las vegas review journal's sports section. there is nothing but glowing tributes of krugers contribution. his last gig at unlv might have been his best work. he was hailed as a great bench coach and recruiter. he certainly has a better start here than he did in las vegas. this guy will get the job done.

Hopefully the same people who complained about Sampson's NCAA tourney record will realize where we've been 4 of the last 5 years and realize how lucky we are to be in this position compared to where we could be.
