We hear about Matt Christiansen Bishop McGuiness of and Nino Jackson of Ardmore as far as the class of 2012 is concerned, but there are also some Oklahoma area players are really talented and have big senior seasons coming up:
James Woodard 6'3 sg Edmond Memorial: Woodward doesn't put up the numbers you would expect from a division one level basketball player, but that's due to being on a loaded Edmond Memorial squad. He has a chance to attract a lot of interest this year.
Aaron Anderson, 6'3 sg Edmond Sante Fe: A smart basketball player that can fill it up from the perimeter. He has a college level body and will be able to take the physical grind of division one basketball.
Revey Norton, 6'2 sg Tulsa Central: Raw and Athletic. This kid is developing his game quickly. If he continues on the pace he's currently on, he will be on the radar screen of some high major division one coaches. Norton is putting up some of the best numbers in the state at Central.
Quentin Paras 6'4 sg Lawton MacArthur: Paras, who's also a football player, has a physical aspect to his game, but is also a very smart basketball player according to his AAU coach Marco Columbus. Columbus also feels he has the ability to play the point.
Corbin Byford 6'6 combo forward Velma-Alma: His small school profile leaves him a bit of a mystery to fans, but many high school and AAU coaches already know this young talent. Byford was the MVP of the Stephens County Tournament where he had a triple double in the Championship game, with 24points 10 rebounds and ten blocks. He is also known for being a great all around athlete.
On a sidenote, state basketball tournaments are coming up. Class A & B tournaments are traditionally the most enjoyable tournaments in Oklahoma. This will be a good chance to see some good teams and players. Forgan, Velma-Alma, Frontier, Preston, and Okarche are some teams that I'll get out to see. Also is attached a video of James Woodard and Revey Norton.
