A quick look at the team

We have 12 on ships but only 10 available to play due to injuries. Lets take a look at the age of the team.

J. McFarland- Sr.
W. Jones- Sr.
A. Ellenberg- Jr.
N. Griffin- Jr.
M. Hook- Jr.
P. Durrett- Jr.

Of the 12 here now, 8 are juniors and seniors.

The rest of the roster looks like this:

N. Kornet- Fr.
M. Manning- Fr.
S. Campbell- So.
K. Williams- So.

We have some catching up to do in recruiting and I don't see any way we can do so without going back to juco for a couple of players. It will be interesting to see what Sherri does.

I think our coaches have to have major successes over the next two years and dramatically pick up not only their recruiting efforts, but their signing effort.

You can't say recruiting is going in the wrong direction yet, but I believe it is teetering.

I think we can safely say that recruiting is not exceeding expectations. I'm beginning to think the loss of Hansmeyer hurt more than we anticipated it would.

Maybe she decided to complete her playing years at OU as Whitney Hand, which is what it still says on the back of her jersey. You know, like Dale Evans didn't change her "stage name" when she married Roy Rogers.

2014 could be a rebuilding year, Sharane would be our only senior so i expect use to sign atlest one Jr college player this year for class balance. Our biggest need will be a point guard and a post, unless Manning will be playing the point full time... The high school class of 2014 is loaded with point guards with a few good ones in Texas, with the openings and available playing time im sure we can bounce back on our feet next year. Texas players Recee Caldwell and Brianna Turner could start from day one here. UNC ended up with a great class this year and it was unexpected so maybe OU can to.
