A total team effort today

Five guys in double figures; Osby with 22, Grooms 19, Pledger 14, M'Baye 11 and Fitz with 10.

And get this, we had 17 assists on our 86 points with only 5 (are you kidding me?) turnovers. We also owned the boards with 33 rebs to ISU's 21.

That's team basketball at its best!

Very solid effort. You can tell we are well coached, b/c we have a lot fewer games where the effort/energy just aren't there. That is part coaching. For the most part, this team is showing up ready to play every game. Glad the seniors had good games today. Sure gonna miss those guys.

I knew our guys were gonna be angry and play well today, just speaks to how good our leadership is on the team.

That makes two of us. I'm almost as happy for our seniors as I am about the win. I can't think of a group of kids more deserving of a trip to the NCAA tourney than Osby, Fitz, Pledger and Grooms.

The quality of play this team displays for long stretches is sweet 16 caliber. They just have to keep the pedal to the metal.

Hopefully the collapses vs okie st & texas have taught the players and coaches to never ever take anything for granted and always think strategically. Controller aggression.

Missed the whole thing (I work nights) but when I woke up the butterflies hit immediately to see how we did. Awesome another example of having fantastic coaching in prep for this game. They gave it away like the Salvation Army on Wed and took it away like Sherman's army today. Great to see. Good group of seniors and just love this coaching staff.
