Question - Sherri husband was a high school baseball coach and I know that he left the school he was at, what is he doing now?

Question - has OU made Sherri a million dollars coach yet?

She certainly lives in a non-million dollar coach house. Don't get me wrong, it's nice and beautifully landscaped, but not a castle.

Banjo is right about the Coales’ home. It is where they lived when Sherri coached at Norman High. He is also right about the landscaping.
Dane taught and coached baseball at Purcell High. I don’t know the Coales personally so the rest of this may not be factual. I understand that during one of the many school funding shortfalls he resigned his teaching position to save the job of a younger teacher. He continued to coach for a few years. I believe he resigned or retired from that. He may be doing something else and he may just be hunting and fishing, I know he likes to do both.

I think I read that he resigned when their kids were first in high school because his coaching interfered w/ him being able to watch their games.

It's very wise. As much as we love Sherri now, womens basketball is a sport where coaches get blacklisted a lot more than, say, football (why else would Bobby Petrino already be back in coaching).

But, nobody is every going to accuse Sherri of not being intelligent

Healdton has plenty of people who could make a donation to get whatever they needed. There is a very prominent family that has enough money to do what they wish, and has a LARGE say in anything Healdton.

I'm sure they would be happy to receive Sherri's donation, but they in no way NEED the money to get new stuff for their basketball teams.

I grew up and graduated from Healdton and my Dad still lives there. I'd like to know who you're talking about with regards to the unlimited funds available to the schools/town as it is a very depressed town (oil bust of the 80's pretty much ended it) and school enrollment has dropped from about 800 in the 80's to now about 500 (or less). I've not seen any great amount of money infused into the schools nor town so although there might a few individuals/families with some money they are not throwing it at the school.

Again I was just joking I don't care what Sherri does with her money she has earned it, like Tycat said I don't know what family in Healdton you are talking about the B$@&y's or somebody else, but they play their games in a gym built by the CCC OR WPA guys and the football field and other facilities are due for an upgrade. With all the oil money that went thru western Carter County in the 80's and the Healdton Wilson Y area its sad to see the town and school today. :eddie187_jpg_xs:
