I have no idea why. First, OSU, with 5 players would have to win 3 games in 3 days to get there, lol. And, why those two are picking OSU to beat KU is crazy. Yes KU doesn't have their center, but they still have 12 high school all Americans on the bench AND they won't have played the day before AND Self has been preparing his team for OSU since last Saturday. Thoughts?

Not saying I would pick osu, but they have played KU pretty tough (this year, and historically), and KU won't have Embiid. Stranger things have happened.

Yep. I'd imagine its based on the the two osu ku games from this year. I think osu beating ku is certainly plausible. Not to mention osu and isu have been very close games as well.

OSU isn't winning 4 games in 4 days with basically 5 players. It wouldn't shock me if the lost to Tech in game one.

A Bedlam Big 12 final would be an awesome way to end Big 12 play, but I'm saying ISU closes out that side of the bracket.

If it comes to this, we will run them out of the gym in the second half.

I'd rather stick it to Kansas than beat those scrubs a third time.

I think it is going to be really really tough to beat texas and Baylor both for the third time this season.

Oklahoma State has a deep six man team. It would be interesting to see minutes player since Clark was kicked off the team. But you are right there lack of a bench is going to kill them in KC assuming they win a game or two.

Why would anyone pick OSU to go all the way to the finals, Marcus Smart's "intangibles"?

We've actually settled in to a 8 player rotation that sometimes utilizes a 9th.

The starting five are Smart, Forte, Brown, Nash and Murphy.

The bench players are Williams, Sager and Hammonds. He also uses Cox, but pretty sparingly so I wouldn't really consider him part of the main "rotation."

As much as I think Ford needs to go, I will give him some credit with what he's done with the rotations recently. He's done a really good job of creating opportunities to rest Smart, Brown and Nash by using the the three bench players at the right time early in games.

OSU bench scoring since Smart has come back in
2 points
4 points
4 points
18 points
6 points

The 18 points was against TCU and Hammonds had 13 of it and the other 5 came from one other player. The rest of the bench that played scored nothing.

No more than 2 bench players have scored for OSU in a game since the Oklahoma game...in January. OSU's bench scoring had been pretty puny all year. It was better early on when Forte was the 6th man. But still outside of him not much scoring.

I was joking about 6. I know Sager and Hammonds play but they are playing out of necessity in my opinion.

Why? Was it tough to beat teams 3 times when OU was dominating the Big XII tournament under Sampson? If OU is the better team, they can and should win the games. Having won twice before doesn't matter all that much to me. What matters to me is that Texas and Baylor are pretty close to OU in ability.

we're winning this thing.

I don't care who we beat, I just want the Sooners cutting down the net, hoisting the trophy and la dee dah.

Of the 6 teams we could potentially be beating for the Big 12 title, here's the order I'd like to beat them in:

1- KU
2-OSU
3- Iowa State
4- KSU
5- Tech

I really think the top 4 would make for a fun championship game atmosphere. Tech would probably have a dozen at most attend. Boring
