OU had a losing record the past two months of the season, blew numerous leads, was blown out in the first half against a very bad tcu team, has a weak recruiting class coming in & our leading returning scorer jumped ship without notice.

Pointing out these problems does not make one a "Capel troll".

Capels tenure is in the record books. He took over a depleted team and within 3 years produced one of the 5 best OU teams of alltime, reloaded with a top 10 recruiting class that included a bad apple and imploded. He was run out of town before being given an opportunity to rebuild. As for the Tiny Gallon infraction Capel was cleared of any involvement.

That's ancient history. Where we are today and heading into next season is 100% on Kruger.

100% agree. This is Krugers team. He can get rid of Clark and Neal if 2 guys out of 13 scholarship players still falls on Capel.

Blake did make the team good...And Capel brought him here for 2 years. He brought in Osby who made this years team good.

Now we need Kruger to bring in a player that will make us good and ncaa tournament bound.

Poor decision by M'Baye. If you do a little research on European salaries you'll see that an average player starting out makes 65-100K. The NBA minimum is 500K for 2014-2015(the year M'Baye would go out if he stayed one more year.)

I'm no NBA scout but I would put his chances of getting drafted high enough to stick to a roster around 0% right now. If he returned for another year his chances would go up substantially IF he put in the work to improve himself. Plus even if he didn't improve he could still go play in Europe in 2014.

Osby is a great example- at the start of the year I would say there is no way he gets drafted, now I think an NBA team could get a steal going for him late 1st round/earlier 2nd. Decent height, rebounds, good post game, consistent outside shot.

Effectively what M'Baye did was throw away a chance at making millions in the NBA to start collecting a European pay check of 65-100K one year early. There is time value of money, but that won't make up for making 400K a year less.

Amath isn't a first round talent.

You can't say that Griffin is the reason we made it to the tournament and then turn around and say Osby is not the reason we made it to the tournament.

Kruger is a solid coach. His recruiting has been horrible so far. We have good coaches in this conference. We need players to compete with other good coaches who are getting good players.

he is old (24 next season) and he is french (thus he doesn't could against a foreign roster spot in the french league) he very well might be happy returning home and playing pro ball there for 3-5 hundred k ...

The top level guys make that. The mid level guys are playing for sandwiches and a room. My cousin played overseas with Dana Dingle and they basically played for nothing and had to live with a host family. Dingle was a fantastic college player. College stars like Hollis Price or Ebi Ere can make a good living. College bench players and 5 PPG type guys are probably looking for free room and board in the Scandinavian league and hopes that they can advance to a better league.

None of these guys have even stepped on the hardwood at the LNC. So they don't matter yet.

How many Capel recruits didn't show up? Better yet, how many came and then left within the first year? Chris Early, Bobby Maze, Kyle Cannon, TJ Taylor, etc.

I know you are loving this but when we are better than you think next year, you won't show up here except when we lose and then you will be here to say "I told you so". I complained every day about Capel, but I was here when he won (which wasn't much) and when he lost. You can't do the same.
