Amath declaring for NBA draft...

He can give it a try in the nba summer leagues and if he doesn't make a roster play in Europe. Makes sense. Who wasn't ready to be out of college and making bucks at 23?

Not a terrible decision if he wants to play for money. If he doesn't make an nba roster, he can go overseas.

He's going to make six figures playing in France. If he's actually graduating this spring, it's probably a smart move by him. Not sure he'd have played his way into NBA consideration even if he did stay an extra year.

Whoa! We might not find a more athletic replacment but we might find one more intelligent. Good luck Amathe.

"My time at OU has been great," said M'Baye, who averaged 10.1 points and 5.2 rebounds this season en route to earning third-team All-Big 12 honors. "I'm 23 years old. My goal when I came to the United States was to take care of business in the classroom and by the time I was 23 to have a degree in my pocket. Now that I'm graduating in May, it's time for me to start taking care of my family the way they've taken care of me for so long."

Who can argue with that?

I can. What do I care about any of that? All I care about is OU winning basketball games.

He'll make good money playing ball in Europe, and has his degree. He was never going to be an NBA player, and fully knew it.

Good choice for him.

Oops, I may have gotten over my ski's a little by predicting bigger and better things for next season. I was sure counting on M'Baye coming back and having a big season.

Sam predicted it and others were in my ear all season saying the same thing. But, I couldn't see it. He seems like a good guy and I hope things work for him.

I hope Tech and TCU still suck next season because I would hate for us to not have any company.

Its hard to see when they clearly arent ready for the nba

Wow. Shocking news. I really wish he would stay for another year. He has the Potential to be a NBA player if he could improve his shooting and get stronger. I do have to respect his decision to take care of his family.
