I really like watching this guy play... he can shoot jumpers, score with his back to the bucket, etc.

He is gonna be really good as a junior and senior.

Too bad he's touched the ball all of three times this half. I don't know why we aren't force feeding him the ball on the block.

No doubt. Way too much dribbling outside, and the other guards are just lookin' at it..... Toss that thing inside please!!!!!!

Osu has been doubling him when he touches and we are not cutting to the hole to make them pay.

its like no one on the team gets this concept.. if someone's man leaves the double, YOU ARE OPEN GET OPEN!!

Give OSU some credit. They did a nice job of denying the pass, pushing him far away and at a bad angle on the block, and instantly doubling when he made the catch.

These types of things have been my biggest beefs with Capel. That is xo strategy, sometimes Capel reminds me, not his strong suit.

Drew is going to have an even bigger impact next year when we can get Goff/Osby down in the paint to be there for some offensive rebounds after Drew draws them out with a post catch in the high post/short corner.

you and me both man.. like at the end of the game when capel wanted us to foul for FT's.. Blair had no idea that capel wanted that.. the players should know what capel wants and not have to be told these things..

a couple times inbounding the ball we about had TO's because the 4 man at the last second decided to come and help bail out the guards.. that should be automatic..

if capel fixes the rebounding, and the crashing/following shots i will be happy. i give him credit for having our guys shoot amazingly from the FT that was outstanding

I was really impressed with him today. For a big man that isn't that tall or
athletic he is really hard to defend.

I know it is not likely, but if Fitz can make the same strides the next two years that he made in the last one, he'll be paid to play.
The difference between Fitz this year and last is incredible. Much of that is weight loss, but with fat, you lose muscle. If he can get stronger and more athletic, perhaps in Cali where Blake went or something similar, he has a ton of upside. He has a great 10-12 footer and if he can improve his post play, get his feet even faster and his jump higher, he can be really good.

Capel found a gem in Andrew Fitzgerald.

(I can't believe I just agreed with ABD. :) )

Not to insult the other guys but he does not have a mature team supporting him. They have some talent but still lack the ability to be consistent. Next year is going to be much better, especially if Osby can be a 40% 3 point shooter.

The kid doesnt have a vertical but man he never seems to get his shot blocked. Kid can stroke it

What's even more unbelievable is that abd had something good to say about an OU player. :ez-laugh:
