Announcers using OU as How not to Play D

Osu didn't care in the second half tonight. Osu just took it easy in the second half. It seems that every year Capel has been at OU, OU hasn't been able to stop dribble penetration. If OU can't play any defense next season, OU will be in the bottom of the big 12 again.

This year there's only 1 really good team in the conference. I think you take Mizzou or OU from last year they both dominate this conference like KU did this year. Show a little respect and integrity and answer my questions. You want to use tourney results to support your claim that is fine (a little weak,but fine), but this years tourney hasn't been played yet, so how does this comparison work exactly?

Who else in the Big 12 compares to any of the top teams from last year. How about the top teams from the one year where 3 teams were the 1 seed? The Big 12 has been a lot better in recent years than it's been this year. This year has one really good team and abunch of teams that will probably win 1 or possibly 2 games if they get good matchups at the most. I don't see anyone that can make a final 4 run from this confernece outside of Kansas. Last year there were 3 or 4 teams that could have easily made a run. And this conference had the nations best player by FAR last year. No other player has ever won every player of the year award he was up for.

You are right. That's why in this span OU has given up 48% from beyond the arc. It's why opponents are scoring 80+ and shooting over 50%. These are incredible teams and all have a chance to win it all in the Big Dance.

Give me a flippin' break. To even begin to defend this indefensible performance the last 4 weeks by this bunch is absurd. OU's defense is pathetic, and it has little to do with the conference strength. This is the EXACT same OU team that lost to Houston, UTEP and San Di-freaking-ego. If anything they have regressed. There are quitters on this team that need to be shown the door.

I didnt offer any reasons why OU has given up the statistics you have cited, and I think this is the worst OU team I have ever seen (Im 31). Zepp said the Big 12 sucks this year, I simply pointed out that his assertion lacks merit. Reading comprehension isn't one of your strengths.

It starts with the coach. If he doesn't hold people accountable for their defense, then he condones it. There are no repercussions for bad play on this team. How many times do you watch a game and think " holy crap he just let that guy go right to the hoop" and just see the coach sitting over there. Doesn't yell at them, doesn't sub them. He's become pretty apathetic about this whole year if you ask me.

I don't know that I agree this year is the best top to bottom but it is clearly a strong year.
