Another dual sport ?

Holy **** I hope that's true. Sounds like Egbuka to me. It sounded like Coleman had an actionable offer even with Williams, Jackson, and likely Farooq this weekend. Bring on the fireworks this weekend.

EE is correct. Saving the spot for him.

Sounds like football has pulled his opportunity to commit. They feel good about a 5 star WR.

Ku is likely now I was told.

He said he didn’t want to commit this weekend. He wanted to wait a while. So ou basically said ok bye

That’s weird, why wouldn’t he commit to OU but would to KU? Were they the only 2 options so he did it out of spite? Either way I’m glad for football reasons.

Idk but he said football would be his main focus of choice, seems weird to pick KU.

And although it may not seem possible, KU football got busted for cheating. It wasn't just the basketball team. But in football they'll be missing the postseason either way.

Lot of conflicting reports, but sounds like his offer was pulled due to hesitation. Couldn't make up his mind between OU/KU, so OU made it easy for him. OU is a contender for EE, but he does not sound like a silent commit currently, and they were planning to recruit him regardless of the Coleman situation.

Bigger loss for basketball than football.

To show how blessed our football team is, Coleman is considered to be the highest rated WR ever to commit to KU. Decent chance he would have been WR5 in this class for OU.

Ou moved on to save a WR spot for emeka E.
He wanted ku hoops more than ku football.

That would help KU if they lose scholarships, he won’t play there regardless in basketball imo.

Makes sense. I don’t see how it’s a loss for either really, other than being a great walk-on for practice.

Seems like a Jeffery Mead.

Agreed. Don't think it makes much difference either way. I just doubt we can find many comparable walk-ons for basketball.

It's worth remembering that he'd already accepted a hoops offer at Washington State, which is no blue blood, of course, but it's in a Power 5 conference, and his offer obviously wasn't of the grab-a-warm-body-at-the-last-minute variety.

I think you may be thinking about NRK. Not that I think either would be just a warm body.

Right you are. Thanks for the correction. No recruiting expert am I. I get the various recruits confused too easily.

That wasn’t Coleman, it was another OU football commit. Coleman had b-ball offers from Mcneese St & LTU (which is a solid program).

I think Coleman could help OU on the court his jr/sr year, but not with him splitting time in football which would be his main focus.

Coleman has reportedly decommitted from KU.
