Joe DuVall over on SoonerScoop just said the writing is on the wall for another player to transfer out.

Not going to name the player since it's a pay site, but just passing along the information.

don't necessary want any one to transfer .. but if someone is going to it needs to be a 4 man

and if we could get a transfer that has to sit out a year that would be great

I don't like to see players leave. But assuming Duvall's report is accurate, that will simply open the door for a scoring wing like Koulechov and a big with some bulk, even if it's one who has to sit out next season.

When Vbdad speaks, I listen. I have found him to be a reliable source.

The bet is Dante.

When you post, it happens. Not questioning you, but still questioning why he would. He already lost his redshirt year. Is he so buried in Norman that sitting out somewhere else is almost the same as sitting most of the time in Norman?

I would love to get in on the sweepstakes for Kentucky transfer Marques Bolden (big with bulk.... and talent). He wants to play closer to his home in DFW, and SMU and TCU are close but he also mentions UT. Norman is as close as Austin.

I still like the juco kid Shukur Juiston out of Hutch but Iowa State has been recruiting him hard. KU is recruiting him but things may have changed with the Lawson brothers from Memphis transferring in.... plus they still need a PG.

Bolden goes to Duke and announced he's not going to transfer and is staying at Duke.

Might not transfer to D1. Dante could go D2, start, and play 30 minutes a game next year.

DuVall reported several weeks ago that someone besides DSM was considering leaving...... mentioned a locker room leader..... all but naming Buford. Then everything went cold. There was even a Daily Oklahoman article where Kruger thought nobody else was leaving after DSM.

Buford has used his RS, but if we get Egor from Rice, how many minutes will Buford play next season? I think Egor would play more minutes at the 4 than the 3. Everyone is projecting Egor to push Odomes for playing time, but he averaged 9 rebounds per game. I see Doolittle and Igor sharing minutes where they're free to shoot 3's. Egor can also share with Odomes at the "big" wing.

I like the thought of Egor, Doolittle, and Odomes sharing the 3/4 spots.

Too bad my wife and children don't listen!

Ha! I hear ya. Thanks for all of the insight. With Egor (big if) and Trae, with the pieces returning, next year could be special.

You're right, he's not transferring so he's staying at Duke. I saw the transfer announcement and just hadn't stayed up with it. I guess he rescinded the transfer announcement a day later.

Dang it!!

makes me feel bad for Buford that he's that down about his future role. But you recruit kids who are hyper competitive and then you ask them to be patient. They wanna play. I can understand that.

He's a good shooter from 3. But struggles to put the rest of the game together. Good look to the guy

Never understood the great leader and locker room guy chat on here about Buford. He seemed more often than not to be in the doghouse and even rode the pine many games for it.

Ya That's confused me too. I think it must be that the players really like him personally and he might rally the team in the locker room ect. But who knows.

I think you nailed it. In fact, that's pretty much what I was told when Dante's name surfaced as a team leader. I was as surprised as anyone, because I never really thought about him as a leader.

There was an early season article in the Daily Oklahoman where Kristian Doolittle talked about how the team looked to Buford for leadership, and how well he was respected.

Good window into a major problem the team had last year. Buford may have been liked, but you have major issues if you are looking at him as a leader
