I guess one counter that showed itself was strength - amazed I am saying that about DJ. Lattin was tossed around like a rag doll by Bruin bigs while Bennett was better able to hold his own.

Lattin is still a freshman and has a long ways to good. But he shows a ton of promise. Bennett is a veteran and provides good energy off the bench. His numbers aren't always much of anything but he has provided some solid minutes this year.

I'd say of lack of offensive polish is another reason Lattin wasn't ranked hire. The kid is athletic as heck, but I'll be honest, when you are that athletic, and your mother was a WNBA All-Star, I expect a little more polish to your game.

Not saying I'm not excited about his future. Just wondering why he doesn't have a better offensive game given his size, athleticism, and background.

Bruins were definitely more of a good sample of the big front lines we might see later in the season like UT. Good for him to start seeing some of these guys that are just as tall and athletic as him but way stronger. Hopefully he continues to learn and adjust, will likely need him getting some defensive rebounds today.

I'm not sure I've seen a big enough sample size to assess his offensive skill-set. Don't think we've thrown it to him on the block yet...

Bennett has played poorly all year.. but he finally played better last night.. and lattin had many freshman mistakes...

I still think Latin will eventually take all Bennett's minutes.. but he's a minuscule amount ahead right now
