Has anybodies guess at final conference standings changed after the beginning of the season?

My guess:
1. Kansas
2. Baylor- I know bad home loss
3. OSU- Painful to type
4. KSU
5 OU
6. WVU
7. Texas- If don't get Guard eligible
8. Iowa St
9. TCU
10. Texas Tech

We swept kansas st. last year with a less talented and less deep team. What makes you say they will finish ahead of us.

This is how the RPI site has them finishing as of now in Big 12 play.

1 Kansas 15-3
2 Baylor 11-7
3 ISU 11-7
4 KSU 10-8
5 WVU 10-8
6 OSU 8-10
7 Texas 8-10
8 OU 8-10
9 TCU 5-13
10 Texas Tech 4-14

This is how I still have them finishing.

1. Kansas - NCAA
2. OSU - NCAA
3. KSU - NCAA
4. Baylor NCAA
5. Texas - NIT
6. ISU - NIT
7 OU - NIT or none - depends on if they are 9-9 or 8-10
8 West Virginia - none
9 Texas Tech - none
10 TCU - none

1. KU
2. OSU
3. BU
4. TU (this assumes Kabongo is eligible)
5. OU
6. WVU
7. KSU
8. ISU
9. TTU
10. TCU

If Kabongo is not eligible I think they go all the way down to 6th and everyone else just bumps their way up. I hate it that I have OSU so high, and I hope I am wrong, but they are just really talented. Hopefully they feel the "Ford Factor" too much and they implode! I also think that WVU could be too low and actually might be in the top 4... They are still young and could turn out to be a very good team.

KSU couldnt hit a shot in the two games against us but still finished 10-8 while we were 5-13. I can see how some might still think they have a better team. They have some goodplayers back.

Its hard to tell how good or bad KSU, ISU, WVirginia, Texas and OU will be. They seem to be all bunched up after OSU and KU but above TCU and Tech.

Your list looks pretty good. RPI is going to be a little squirlly until about mid-January.

FWIW, here's how the teams currently rank on KenPom (national rank in parenthesis):

1. Kansas (10)
2. Kansas State (21)
3. Baylor (27)
4. Oklahoma State (29)
5. Texas (32)
6. Iowa State (48)
7. West Virginia (60)
8. Oklahoma (75)
9. Texas Tech (164)
10. TCU (223)

Boy are Texas Tech and TCU bad.

It's very possible that those two will form an epic bad pair of teams at the bottom of the conference like A&M and Baylor used to in the late 90s/early 2000s.

1. Kansas
2. OSU
3. Baylor
4. KSU
5. Iowa St
6. OU
7. WVU
8. Texas
9. Tech

Baylor just lost to College of Charleston at Home. Plus Scott Drew is coach

Yep. Not sure how anyone can have Baylor at 1 right now. I'll be optimistic

1. Kansas
2. OSU
3. OU
4. Baylor
5. Kansas State
6. Iowa State
7. Texas
8. West Virginia
9. Texas Tech
10. TCU

With limited data and OU beating WVU head to head on a nuetral court, I don't get how kenpom (or anyone) could predict WVU to finish ahead of OU.

The top 5 teams will be dancing. :chestram2:

Scott Drew has been to the elite 8 2 out of the last 3 years, losing both games to the national champions. His team is loaded. They have lost some early games..but are more talented and deeper then any team in the big 12.

I dont know why, maybe im just being silly, but I feel like west virginia is better than us. I know we beat them but to me west virginia looked like the better team. I thought we had a really good game by multiple guys, otherweise we would have lost. I dont think west virginia played incredibly well and they still had a chance on beating us.

If we were able to beat kentucky that still wouldnt make us the better team.
