6 assists, 7-7 from the free throw line, that’s the Austin we need, facilitating and driving and getting fouled, not trying to take off balance 3’s to manufacture free throws. Had a great game today

Had a good game today and could have been better. But as the game went on, overconfidence set in and he started reverting to his reckless alter ego. Had 5 turnovers. If he plays to his strengths he could be a very solid player.

I need to see more of what we saw today before I get on that train. I gave him props in the game thread, but I will remain cautiously optimistic....and that is a stretch. He hasn't shown the ability to be consistent, so I will withhold too much praise until it is earned. But I did like what he showed today.

And from the fans, based on what we knew from practice reports and from posters here who had seen him play. I’m hoping what we saw yesterday was a sign of things to come. I’m still not sold on having him run our offense. His 6 assists were good. His 5 turnovers were not.

All of that said, Austin had a very good game. Brady was awesome. For that matter the team as a whole played like they were on a mission. The best part, their energy was good from the opening tip to the end, with no more than a hiccup or two in a game that was never in doubt.

Great win! This team is fun to watch when they play like that.

Key item in your list was unselfish. Except for maybe 1 shot took only open looks, was squared on his shots, and passed the ball well. He hustled but I think he had always been doing that.

He looked like he was having fun out there.

I’ve believed in Austin even in his bad games. I think there has too much pressure on him to score. Bieniemy and Harmon aren’t much of a threat from the perimeter. Really Reaves and Williams are the only guards who can create their own shot.

I really dislike having Bieniemy and Harmon on the floor at the same time. It was even worse when they had Kuath in there with them late in the game yesterday. That left us with only two scoring threats..... and the defenses can concentrate on shutting down those 2 players.

thinking 12-15 points ...the assists and boards. As I've said before he's the "WTH are you thinking?" one minute to "wow great play" the next. IIWII

my issue is the ISO we have for him....and some of his "be like Mike" moments.

he's helped the team more than hurt at this point. Hope he continues.

Um, no. He’s OU skilled but he is not NBA skilled. He’s OU athletic but he’s not NBA athletic. He had one good game, let’s get some perspective here.

He shoots less than 30% from 3 and has nearly a 1-1 assist to TO ratio. If Cousins couldn’t make it as a reserve Reaves has no shot.
