I wondered the same thing Denver. On the Aztec Mesa website it seemed like most of their posters are already talking about how they would match up with Georgetown. Thier defense in the MWC is superior to the Big12 and we haven't played teams as athletic as theirs. They seem to think they have 3-4 guys who SHOULD be able to keep Ro's scoring down.

In saying this it seemed most of our posters was just happy to be dancing. Then the prediction thread came out and I was suprised there was only 1 person picking us to lose. Everyone seemed to think the game would be close though.

I think it will be a close game and I feel we really have a advantage inside. Hope we take advantage of that early then work the outside after their D starts collapsing down. Hope we can hit dsome outside shots

I mean, I saw a few posts over on their board that seemed to think this was an easy win, or talking about how we are a football school that doesn't know what it's this whole NCAA Tournament thing is all about. This despite the fact that even though we haven't been to the postseason for the last 3 years, we still have more NCAA Tournament wins in the last 4 years than SDSU has in the history of their program.

But all the fans that have come over here have been very nice, and contributed to the conversation well. I haven't seen any arrogance from SDSU fans on here... And I'm not really sure how a Chuck Long joke makes them arrogant?

I haven't seen the arrogance on our board more so on theirs wich is to be expected it seemed majority of their post here have been about Aztec heritage minus a few posts where I felt I learned something bout their team( the pressure D post)

It was actually made in defense of Denver, who was being put down by this treebranch character (obviously Denver had no issue with being called "willfully ignorant," so I won't be so quick to defend my Sooner brother in the future :ez-laugh.

Also, as coachd4 pointed out in his post, the theme on at least one Aztec board is that they believe the Sooners have little-to-no chance against the Aztecs and most of their fans are already looking ahead to a matchup with Georgetown.

So I'll continue to believe that many of the SDSU fans are arrogant, but I won't be offended if everyone else here disagrees.

Any AZTEC fan that has watched this team knows that it has a Jekyll & Hyde personality. It went from running the Lobos out of Viejas 55-34, to putting up an abysmal 9 points in the 1st half vs. Wyoming. There should be no chest beating by any AZTEC fans unless they are trying to provoke someone!

I think Treebranch is an OU fan. He has over 50 posts and registered years ago. I think he got his panties in a wad when I used the word liberal. Liberals are funny that way. They don't like the word liberal.

SDSU student section's chant before every game is "I believe that we will win." Most times we do, some times we don't: not arrogance, just confidence and hope.

I didn't know asking about a NCAA Rule on Mascot names was politics. Crazy me, I thought it was related to college sports. I also thought the Aztec fans would know about the rule because Aztec is the name of an Indian tribe.
