If Dillard works out, they will have Evans and Forte with Dillard, Carroll, Burton, and Shine playing on the wings, not bad role players. Both were just true sophomores last year. Carroll is a very nice shooter at 6'6''... Just needs to be a role player though.

I see some potential here, but a few big "if's".... Solomon needs to not be terrible and they need something from Dillard... They also need some production out of the recruiting class.

I think people will be surprised by them.

I liked making fun of the poster that said Solomon was better than Lattin but I seriously doubt Solomon is the worst player in the Big XII. How would you even begin to know the abilities of a guy that never gets off the bench?

i suspect Solomon will beaver solid role player the next two years just not as good as Lattin

"Beaver" needs to become the word for a solid role player. Used in a sentence - Kruger is looking for more production out of McNease. If he could become a beaver it would be a big help to the Sooners front court

SG: Phil Forte - All Conference Caliber Player
SF: Davon Dillard - 4star recruit. Total freak athlete. #21 SF in nation.
PF: Leyton Hammonds - Decent player, decent shooter, 10/5 kind of guy
C: Mitchell Solomon - Worst player in the Big 12

They need some more post guys, or for Mitchell Solomon to shock the world and have an amazing turnaround. An amazing turnaround for him would be become a decent defender, and average 7/6 and be able to stay on the floor.

The few times I watched Solomon, I thought he was a decent player. He fouls way too much so he doesn't stay on the floor but he can score -- has a decent offensive game.

If he lives up to potential, why not? Burton hasn't been good, Shine is ok, and Carroll is pretty solid. I am sure Carroll will end up starting, but if Dillard lives up to potential I don't think it's a stretch to say he can be better than those guys.... Are you saying that isnt possible?

Carroll shot 33% from 3 which is the bare minimum you can shoot to be considered a threat.. shine is even worse at 31%.. these would have been good enough for 6th and 7th on our last year's team

I have no idea about any of their players. Ford was terrible at developing and coaching. Burton was another small forward playing the four in Ford's system so he might be good. It's a fresh start for all of them.

I wouldn't think he would start but anything is possible.

I think Hammond would be starting at three if they had any size but they don't.

well, we dont know yet. they are supposed to move to Boise on May 20th.

With Evans, Forte, Hammonds, and Carroll on the floor they should be a very solid shooting team. Carroll's percentage will go up from 33% when he becomes the 4th option, plus he was just a sophomore. He is 6'6'', good shooter, good athlete. He should be a solid player as a junior and senior.

I agree. They are going to play small ball another year. They have a team filled with Juniors and Seniors which means they have at least 3 years of bad coaching and bad habits embedded in them.

However, they have Evans and Forte which means they will win games.
