Baylor's New Uniforms Are Sick

Puh-lenty of people still think they're ugly. I suspect it's money, not the expressed desire of the fans, that is driving these uni changes.

please SiM, if a recruit is going to select a school because their uniforms have more swag, then they're not a recruit that really needs to be apart of the university system....

Those uniforms are horrible. It is a tragedy that someone was paid to make them and an institutional and individual failure if a college player puts one of those on for a game.

College sports have been a big deal for more than 100 years. Never before have the students -- sorry, prospective students -- had input into matters such as the design of the uniforms they'll wear when they represent the university with which they choose to align themselves, and I see no need to go down that road now.

Leave such matters to a bunch of 18- and 19-year-olds, and you'll get what you deserve, because teenagers, bless their hearts, are not, despite whatever other fine qualities they may possess, really the ideal people to rely upon for fashion and design decisions.

Instead, perhaps, one tells the prospective Sooner, "Come to OU and wear (roughly) the same uniform that Alvin Adams, Wayman Tisdale, Stacy King, Mookie Blaylock, Eduardo Najera, Hollis Price, and Blake Griffin (just to name a few) wore."

And if the young man doesn't know all those names, then one must take it upon oneself to educate him. If he doesn't come to appreciate the sense of history and tradition that we celebrate and preserve at the University of Oklahoma, then good luck to him wherever he ends up.

In short: If "camo" is the deciding factor in a recruit's decision about where to play ball and pursue a college degree, we're probably better off without him, and no hard feelings.

LOL.......one of my players last year thought that his new shoes that were exactly 4 ounces lighter than the ones the rest of the team wore were going to make a VAST improvement in his speed, play and jumping ability.

The Adizero shoes are hideous as it is.....why anyone would want to wear them is beyond me.
