I choose to remember the big wins over KU, OSU, Texas, and ISU at home as well as wins at Baylor, WV, and Tech. It was fun to watch this team and I sure didn't expect us to make the NCAA tournament. NIT was as good as I thought we could be and maybe that's where we should have been, but I will take the NCAA birth and know the program is getting better.

They really exceeded my expectations. This year, we only had one player with any experience in the NCAA tournament. This year's experience will serve the returning players well next year.

Good points. And, we were a 10 seed and lost to a 7 seed, so we won't have to listen to the idiots complain about losing a tourney game we should have won.

It's probably not an accident that the only player on our team with any experience in the tournament was the one who played best.

Off season is when they get better and I'm confident these guys will improve a ton over the summer.

Similar league record and standing. Same results in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. It took Kelvin how many seasons to win a Tournament game? It won't take Lon that long, I'd bet, but he has to change the culture here at OU. Drives me nuts to hear people wanting to cut corners to try and get things turned around a little quicker. Joe C is paying LK what he is, b/c he knows LK will build the program back up the right way. Part of that process means suffering through losses like this. But not for long.

Really good post. Our program might have been at it's lowest ever and just to get back in the tourney in 2nd year is a great accomplishment. I think we will take another step next year too.
