Re: Big 12 Quarterfinals Thread

I didn't watch the OSU game, so maybe the crowd improved, but for all of you that pimp KC as putting on the best tournament, and how the fans seem to support it better, I was pretty disappointed in the turnout for our game.

Re: Big 12 Quarterfinals Thread

two middle games will be yawners

Re: Big 12 Quarterfinals Thread

they should do is rotate every year between OKC and KC.We support the tournament very well when they came here and we should do i again

Check out the secondary ticket market for tonight and tomorrow.

MSG was empty on Tuesday.

Let's see. OU, OSU, Tech, and A$M. Not a big draw around here. Not feeling a huge Sooner turnout in OKC either.

Yet people bashed Dallas when non-Texas teams were playing games.

I've always been told KC will support the entire tournament, and that is why it should be held there more often then not.

Heard from a friend up in KC who has already seen a couple of heated KU-Mizzou fan confrontations regarding conference talk.

I bet it's going to get wild up there if they play in the finals with the fan bases mixed in more so than a home conference game.

It is going to get wild at the Power & Light District as everyone gets boozed up.

Re: Big 12 Quarterfinals Thread

Well there's a crowd there now. look for it to be nuts with both MU and ISU there tonight.

KU sleepwalking through the first 15 minutes and appear to be thinking about pulling away.

Re: Big 12 Quarterfinals Thread

KU finishes the half on a 23-7 run and leads by 12. Self not happy.

A$M looks tired. A lot of their shots are hitting the bottom front.

ROFL!!! You sure can spell "SUCCESS" without "MIZZOU"!!!

Re: Big 12 Quarterfinals Thread

Every shirt in the history of shirts playing on the "can't spell this without that" idea is stupid. Possible exception for the first person who ever did it, but I'm not even sure about that.

Re: Big 12 Quarterfinals Thread

Texas pulls it out against Iowa State. Looking like they're going to make their 13th-straight Tournament. Or is it 14th?

Anyway tomorrow's semifinals are set:

Kansas vs. Baylor -- 6 p.m.
Texas vs. Missouri -- 8:30 p.m.

Is that even a shirt? It looks like a banana suit or something you can't even see the bottom of that monstrosity.

This may have been the first time I've really seen ISU play. How did they beat anyone this year? I was less than impressed.

And the other day I heard the announcers say that Texas had three recruits coming in that are 6'10". Jeez. I wonder if that includes the tall one that's in street clothes? They're going to be a handful if that's true.

Missouri's Kim English on KU:

"If they want to count championships from 1922 and 1923, then that's fine," Missouri senior guard Kim English said. "I respect Kansas basketball to the fullest. I respect their players, respect their coaches big time.

"I just hate their fans. I hate them. Their fans kind of have a false sense of reality about what Kansas basketball is. It's not Kentucky. It's not UCLA."
