Will be extra picky about fouls from here on out. KayKay and others may very well be in trouble. I wish Sherri's one week of defensive work would double then add at least three days of nothing but rebounding. This new officiating approach troubles me.

I took a quick look at the top 3 teams in the Big 12 and found the following:

OU- 355 fouls
Baylor- 302 fouls
TX- 348 fouls

To look closer to OU's fouls we find:

Kaylon- 64
Gioya- 61
Sharane- 56 (graduated)
Maddie-30 (she played less than half the minutes of Peyton and Gabbi)
ViVi- 27 (she only played 10.4 minutes per game)

Compare those numbers to:

Gabbi- 32
Peyton- 26

Both of these girls played a ton of minutes. This means that fouling can be controlled if the players play smart.

We have several games before the first conference game so every team has plenty of time to make changes to insure that excessive fouling is not a problem by the beginning of the conference run. Will the names on the board solve the problem? We will find out.
