Unless someone leaves, these are the bigs we will have in 2015:

Kaylon Williams (5)
Maddie Manning (4 but can play other positions as well)
Shaya Kellogg (4)
Vionise Pierre-Louis (5)
McKenna Treece (5)
Ijeoma Odimgbe (4/5 not sure)
Nicole Kornet (4 but can play the 3 as well)

I don't ever remember having 7 players competing for the 4/5 on the roster at the same time. Losing Sharane will give someone an opportunity to start at the 4. It looks like we have 3 and possibly 4 vying for that position.

It would not shock me if someone leaves after this season.

I get the feeling that they are all playing different positions. From what Sherri said on her restaurant show, I think McKenna and Vivi will play either different positions or the same position differently. McKenna is more of a face the basket type. I get the impression that Vivi and Ijeoma are back to the basket, although both say they aren't. Maddie and Nicole are more rovers than forwards. They play outside, but can do things inside. Kornet was pretty effective at her work inside last night. We probably need to wait to see who Shaya is. When I saw her in the All-Star game, she was a vicious rebounder who could hit layups but also took, and hit, threes. I think we may have them all at least one year. One may leave when Nancy comes, but I don't know that they are in competition.

Don't know anything about incoming player, but seriously doubt if any of the others ever leave of their own accord.

Clearly, Kay-Kay, ViVi and Treece are exclusively playing the 5. Sharane is the 4, Maddie is a 1,3 or 4 and Kornet is a 2,3 or 4.

I don't see that changing much for the next 2 years. If anything, I think Maddie becomes more of a four, perhaps a better version of Amanda (which is something we need badly). She played quite a bit of 4 Saturday and I expect that to increase the rest of the season.

I agree with what kind of 5s Williams, Treece and Pierre-Louise are.

Shays ends up exclusively. 4 for what little time she is going to be on the court. I think Kornet, with continued diminished minutes over the rest of this season and next, gets pigeon-hold exclusively as a sub-3.
