Steve, Monta is a proven beast just like RW. He's averaged 25ppg on 45% shooting. Multiple 2+ steals seasons. The thing is Monta or RW as the best player is not a playoff team. Put them with Dirk or Durant as role players and they're scary good.

I feel the same way. Phil Jackson hasn't won so much because of the triangle offense or meditation sessions. He has won because he is a strong personality and can impose his will on pampered primadonna's. The Thunder players like Brooks for the same reason Blake liked Capel. They can do whatever they want to.

Don't get me wrong ... Russel Westbrook is an AMAZING basketball player. He has athleticism that few (if any) in the NBA can match. I am not dogging on him as a player.
I think that his skills don't necessarily equate best with the role he is given with the OKC style of play offensively. I believe he needs to spread the ball around a little better, limit himself to specific shots, and stop trying to make the ridiculous pass.
