Bill Self to the Thunder?

DIME calling Westbrook/Durant the best duo since Shaq/Kobe?

I dont find that to be a good comparison. Shaq + Kobe were a much better duo than Westbrook + Durant. I'd say LeBron + DW is superior to RW/KD.

If they are they will make the finals and win the title this season. The ball don't lie!

Two out of his three playoff games this year, he's taken 26 or more shots, and been under 40% each time. And the Thunder lost.

Stat of the night in regards of the Thunder
Durant was 1-13 shooting outside of 10 feet

I still don't think Brooks is anymore than an average NBA coach (side note: i do always cringe with they show the mic'd up segments at timeouts. OTher coaches are talking specifics and about plays and scotty is always saying "gotta take better shots" "play with heart" "play smart"). I do think that KD and RW are good enough to carry a team to a championship with Brooks but they can't have off nights. No room for error

Another interesting stat is that the thunder have a better winning % when RW shoots more than KD.

Should just rename this the NBA Playoff thread.

Griffin was excellent again last night and Deandre Jordan is starting to become a force. Likely helps that Griffin is his best friend on the team and has shown him how to work on his game. If he continues to develop the Clippers are going to be good for a long while.

Roy Hibbert went from one of the top centers in the league in last year's playoffs to a complete bum in the past 3 months or so. Doesn't look like it is physical, so what is happening mentally. The Pacers are in big time trouble against a team that had a losing record in the regular season in the awful Eastern Conference.

No wonder the Celtics wanted Jordan so badly in the their trade talks last year.

Scary thing is he is only 25.

He has always reminded me of Tyson Chandler, but at this pace he may end up being slightly better than Chandler if he continues to improve on both ends of the floor like he has the past 2 years.

Jumps shots are unreliable in the playoffs? Alert the media!!

The Thunder will still probably sneak out of this series because of the gaping holes in the Grizzlies offense but until Durant develops a post up game they will fall short.

I dig the fact that Doc just told DJ point blank that he's gonna be on the floor at the end of the game so he needs to get ready. That's what you tell a professional. DJ has responded by starting to turn into the player most thought he could be when he was drafted.

between his and blakes better play the Clips frontcourt is as monstrous as many thought it could be.

Agree. Also told DJ we're not going to run plays for you, get over it and become the most dominant defender/rebounder in the league. Props to DJ for making that happen.

Watching blake last night was almost like watching a different player. He's no longer relying on bulling past someone and jumping over them. If that bank shot is in his bag he's going to be so tough. I always felt once he started hitting that 15-18 footer that he was going to be a handful. I saw some great low post moves from him that you didn't see last year. He's really starting to live up to that Karl Malone comparison.

I know OKC's frentic pace elevates turnover numbers ... but you can't tell me that a point like Lillard wouldn't be a major positive in the possession department compared to the fuster cluck we have right now.

The Thunder win tonight and they are right where they want to be. I suspect they will.

They're only averaging 12.7 turnovers per game in the post-season. Memphis is averaging 10.0. I don't think that's the problem. The problem (IMHO) is their offensive sets and getting KD the ball early in the shot clock in a good position to score.

The other problem they have is that they have to keep Perkins on the floor for extended minutes to guard Z Bo/Gasol. I personally think Adams should be getting some playing time.

OKC will soon be eliminated from the playoffs.

Then they'll hire Bill Self.

Then kansas will go on a coaching search.

And it will probably all happen before Mizzou makes a hire.

Monta Ellis is every bit as good as Westbrook. The thing is when you're 6'3" there's only so good you can be.
