Billy Tubbs Court

I heard Eshbach and Berry Tramel talking today about starting a campaign to get the court at the LNC named after Billy Tubbs. I think this would be a great idea. Whats everyone's take on this? Sorry in advance if this has already been discussed here.

I like this idea too.Does anyone know if there are any schools that have named their court or arena after a former player? I know Duke has Coach K court and Maryland just named theirs after Gary Williams. But cant think of any named after former players.

NO. Loved what Billy did at OU but it's not like he won several NCAA titles etc. Bruce Drake had a 2nd place in the NCAAs also.
If Bud's name is not part of the football stadium Billy isn't close to being on the BB court.

Let's not and hope they'll gut the entire arena to make it a better basketball venue in the future. The second they start attaching names to stuff, they may never think about changing stuff.

I'm a huge Billy Tubbs fan. But naming the court after a coach is bound to make one group happy and upset those who feel it should be someone else.

Wayman is the only name I've seen on this thread that would satisfy nearly everyone. If it can't be WT, why stir up a hornet's nest by naming anyone?
