Blake got hurt again. Looks like at least a hyper-extended knee injury if not torn.

Hoping for the best...it doesn't look promising based on the video, but let's just keep our fingers crossed the doctor will give us some good news today.

The guy has hall of fame ability, just no durability. Poor guy can't catch a break. Part of it is his style of play, though. Not all, of course.

Blake is such a superb athlete, he seems to recover from an injury faster than most. I remember him coming off of the bench at Baylor when he was recovering from a knee injury (I think it was his sophomore season) to lead OU to an important conference road win.

BU’s players were so surprised to see him on the floor, they wilted like a bouquet of flowers when someone forgot to add water to the vase. His recovery may take longer now that he’s older.

It's definitely his style of play... He is in the air a lot, he gets involved in every skirmish on the court, he is going 120% all the time.

In other words... if you want your NBA career to be longer, don't try so hard. It's an 82 game season... you don't need to fly all over the place for every single loose ball, etc.

This is exactly why Eduardo Najera, despite an 11-year NBA career, would seldom be available for more than 50 games a year. I just think it's very difficult to get someone to play different than the way they've always played.

I agree, but if Najera didn't play with all out hustle he wouldn't have been in the league for 11 years.
