Blake Griffin's dunks on Pau Gasol

Is this an OU board? I feel like I'm in the twilight zone. Aren't we supposed to be homers? Man, we are certainly quick to eat our own kind for posterizing one of the biggest babies in the NBA.

blake is about the only reason I follow the no calls unless it's a star league. I'm not going to drink some guys kool aid just because he went to OU. Blake does a lot of exciting things out there it's just that most of them aren't in the low post, the foul line, or the defensive end. Had those two plays occurred in the Thunder/Heat game the game thread would be full of OKC fans crapping their pants over the refs(as they do anyway). I love seeing Blake do fun stuff out there but they aren't going to amount to anything until he rounds out his game. Preening for the crowd and complaining about every call doesn't get you there. Maybe he should work on ways to score that doesn't involve dunking.

Second one was definitely a foul, but it was awesome and I like Blake Griffin, so I do not care.

Why? Gasol did not have defensive position and initiated the contact. He was not set and did not go straight up. Therefore, I would say it is a defensive foul. I am biased so I may not be the best judge on this but I really think it was a defensive foul.

I don't get any audio on that clip but it sure looks to me like the officials call a defensive foul. Gasol clearly jumps into Griffin with his arm extended at an angle and turns away because he is afraid of the contact that he knows is coming.
