Msu in the region. I’d like another. I want the final 4.
yeah. Not sure why he thinks UVa is entitled to a 1 seed. After watching them play they'd have a tough time in the Big-12.
They're legit. They played West Virginia more competively than we did in Morgantown, they'd contend for the Big XII crown.
If we are both two seeds, then WSU should be in Wichita and we should be in Dallas.
WSU most assuredly should not be in Wichita regardless of what seed they are. I realize that the NCAA has no problem giving teams home court advantages in the tournament but they shouldn't do it. If the purpose of the tournament is to determine the national champion, they should do it on neutral courts. If Wichita St. can earn its way to a national championship without playing home games while their opponents play road games, then they don't deserve it.
You must have not been around for our annual debates on what determines a champion. According to basically every member of this forum, champions are decided by who has the best regular season record, and not by a tournament. That is the logic applied to the Big 12 champion, not sure why it's different for anything else.
Something about WSU is hosting the 1st/2nd round and you cannot play where you are hosting. Not entirely sure that is true (just what I have been told), but they are the host for the tournament site.
This is true, the host of the Wichita region is WSU therefore they cannot be placed there. If WSU is a top 4 seed they'll be placed in Dallas
My point is OU deserves a better seed than WSU.
I hate to break it to you but, deserving or not, Wichita is likely going to end up no worse than a 3 seed and probably a 2 seed. They are going to win the American Conference going away. The only way they fall much in regards to seeding is if they pick up a bad loss or two. At the same time, They won't have a lot of opportunities for good wins either.
Cincy can definitely challenge them for the conference title. But you're 100%right in noting that the conference isn't very strong this year. WSU blew out Houston last week in Wichita. I would love to see Kelvin's team pay them back next weekend in Houston. Because they lack many quality wins, WSU's seed could drop a decent amount if they lose more than a couple conference games.
