What is this, like the 3rd time under Porter that we've been the first team out?? That alone is a truly remarkable stat. Not one I ever want to see again...
 
They just said if vcu didn't win they wouldn't have gotten in. Awesome.

It's incredible. Being one team higher is the difference between in the NCAA 4/5 years instead of 1/5. We didn't even need to win an additional game in any of these years. Just a little more luck or style points.

First team out 2 of last 3 years. And I believe 2nd team out, maybe 3rd, his first year.

To borrow Lincoln Riley’s line “we’re close”.

But tired of living on the bubble. In OR out we’ve been there pretty much since the FF run, hoping to get in.

It’s one reason I like Denny’s statement yesterday, and I looked past retaining Moser. I liked the fact his analysis showed the basketball team has not been supported and he’s going to try to fix it.

Fixing it means Selection Sunday is one of happiness. Not anxiety and frustration.

Yeah your new normal sunshine. 32 wins and 56 losses in his 5 years at the helm in P5 competition. The bubble will be his nightmare every year he is the coach. A year like this year is your ceiling with him. So to review we look forward to playing KenPom garbage in our home OOC, we will suffer long conference losing streaks followed by some sort of winning streak and in the end sweating the CBS bracket show. Wow something to look forward to

What I’m saying, and what I read in Denny’s statement and his interviews with the World and Oklahoman, fixing it is bigger than Moser.

And he’s going to try to fix the other issues first, and then if it’s still the coach, he’ll fix it. Because if he doesn’t fix the other issues the coach won’t matter. And best news of all, he recognizes the other issues are crucial to getting our program back.

That’s what I got out of it.

If we’re one or two games away from being off the bubble, more support and commitment will make a difference.

Because of that drastic mind shift and commitment Joe C never had, even with Moser still here, most optimistic I’ve been about the future of OU basketball since March of 2016.

unfortunately he doesn't get it.
he has to fix the coaching issue first.
he's going about it all wrong/backwards.

Stop this. Moser is the problem, and it’s very concerning that our new AD can’t see that, full stop.

Wrong. I don’t believe there is one quality coach that would pick OU over another P4 job based on where the program is at, structurally, right now. And I’m not saying Moser is the guy. I’ve stated on this board it’s time to move on.

He has to fix the issues he lined out in his statement to be attractive to a coach to get us back to where we all want to be.

I just see it completely backwards.. we can't get into an arms race with major bball programs.. and with a simple coaching change and NOTHING else, we are in the tourney easily 4/5 last years and maybe 5/5.

But maybe you are right, maybe this is losing the battle and winning the war... get more $ and THEN dump 20% moser.

But then again, maybe it slingshots back to less support when porter does porter things with the extra funds, which is almost guaranteed to happen. Bc he ALWAYS only wins 54% of his games in his entire career and at OU hes 55%...

We had PLENTY OF TALENT. We had a top 10 portal class! This is delusional. Our coach SUCKS or we would have EASILY made the dance.
