If you watch the video from Newsok after last nights game, they show the OU post game presser.

Buddy is asked about 3 different teammates and their play (James, McNeace, Woodard). All 3 he talks about how the team expected them to play or score like they did last night.

He said Jamuni's hook shot wasn't a surprise because Jamuni does that every day.

He said James play wasn't a surprise because James has a lot of confidence and has since he showed up.

He said Woodard made great shots tonight and will make more Saturday.

I know this board had some discussion earlier in the season about Buddy and how he was to some of his teammates on the floor but looking back it's obvious to me he was pushing buttons so to speak to get them to play how he knows they can play and how the team needs them to play.

The ultimate quote was from Kruger though where he said "Buddy had a great game and though he didn't score as much as he normally does Buddy won't complain because he's happy for his teammates who also played well".

It looks like he has taken a page from Durant. Thats how Durant is. It probably doesn't hurt to have someone like Durant only about 20 minutes away to learn from. I'm not saying they hang out or talk but I'm not playing bball anymore but the way Durant plays and compliments his teammates (just like his POY speech) would definitely have some influence on me. Same thing goes for Westbrook and Cousins..Similar style of play.

I agree. :OU-logo:

I would imagine Buddy's always been that way; it's the way he's made. Doubt he "learned" it from anyone. JMHO.
