Has anyone actually witnessed him practicing with the team? I think he will be huge for us in the future and maybe even in the ncaa. However, he seems to get garbage baskets and it also seems he is lost. I like his aggressiveness but finish it man!

p.s. Just a lil humor to let off my steam valve.:OU-logo::woot

Good FT shooter, had a couple good stretches from outside earlier in conference.

But just can't finish. Has a really elongated take off on his jumps/dunk attempts, that seem to give time for defenders to get into the play. Like opposite of a Niang.

Big potential.

He's not ready for this level right now - hopefully he is next year.

Hard to pinpoint why he isn't contributing more. His running jump is pretty good but his standing jump isn't quite good enough. His shot is too flat. These are items that can be worked on and improved.

I thought offensively he really struggled with their guards. I understand he's a small 4, James was much more comfortable with the helter skelter defense being played.

He needs to work on his hands. Fumbles a bunch of passes. And he gets the ball knocked out of his hands quite a bit.

It's because the game is too fast for him right now - he's thinking too much and trying to do things and not just reacting and letting his natural instincts take over. He has a lot of talent so I hope next year he can take that next step.

Hands have nothing to do with the speed of the game. He has to work on it.

Course it does - he's fumbling passes because he's anxious to make a play and rushing things. Same exact thing in football with receivers dropping balls who can't slow the game down and let their instincts take over.

I disagree. He's not playing strong.

Well he's not doing that either - he needs to work on being stronger with the ball when rebounding which is pretty clear. No offense but I really doubt in practice he's fumbling the ball away like he does during games especially when trying to finish plays. World of difference when the light comes on for young guys.

When he is in there with Spangler, team started to drive to the basket cause we don't have shot blocker insider. That's why I had been saying that we need to have either Manyang or Lattin in there at the 5 as a shot blocker to protect the rim.

Manyang cannot play against WVU's style. Terrible, terrible fit.

And Lattin has to get a breather every now and again.

Yeah, we all had high hopes for him after his performance in Ames, but clearly, that was a fluke. His outside shooting is suspect and he doesn't finish as well as he should around the basket.

In his defense, he hasn't missed a free throw for at least the last 4-5 games (and he's been at the line often).
