Butler's Hayward staying in draft

I'd stay in also if i was him...gonna be hard to beat his current status after that showing in the NCAA's...hopefully that success will translate into a decent draft pick and guaranteed contract...

A decision WW should have made the year prior...

John Thompson had an amazing stat the other day, he said 80 underclassmen had declared for the draft.

80! unreal.

I think all of the underclassmen are worried about there being a strike next year and getting hung out to dry for a year.

Yea there was an article on ESPN talking about how there are 80 underclassmen fighting for 60 spots. Add in Europe and Sr.s and it looks like 40 of them wont be drafted

Too bad on Hayward. I was hoping to see another Butler run. I don't blame him, though.

I'd be interested in seeing how many of those 80 underclassmen have actually hired an agent. If a guy is a junior and hasn't declared yet, he should declare if he has any pro aspirations at all IMO.

Hayward is probably making the right decision, but it would have been amazing to see him return to Butler for another season. With him, Matt Howard, Shelvin Mack, and Ronald Nored back, Butler would have been favorites to return to the Final Four. Butler is still going be really good, but not top 10 good.

There's no point in even discussing TMG. I would give someone 10 to 1 odds that he is not drafted. I have a gut feeling that someone is going to take a flyer on Tiny somewhere in the 2nd.

if tiny wants to... he could contribute as much as dejuan blair has for the spurs... but its all whether tiny wants to or not...

It's possible that Tiny could contribute as much as Blair...about 4 years from now.

Yep, I'd expect Tiny to contribute as much as the guy who was a freshman All-American, then was co-Big East Player of the Year, and a 1st team consensus All-American his Sophomore year. The guy who also averaged over 12 rebounds and 16 ppg while playing an average of 27 minutes.

Outside of being a bit undersized for the 5, I'm not seeing the comparison.

tiny is very talented... his problem is he's not as hard of a worker as blair... that's why i said if he wants to be that kind of contributor he is skilled enough to do it...

Fair enough!

I agree. I think Tiny will eventually get a chance. He has really been busting his butt in workouts and his agility and quickness has come a long ways since his last game at OU,

But that's like I saying everyone has the ability to be as smart as Albert Einstein. It just doesn't work that way. Special people are wired differently. I'm a strong believer in that about the LAST thing you can change in someone is there attitude and work ethic. You either have it or you don't....especially talking about at the highest level like requires to be an NBA stud.
