Is he that high? I thought it was <36% from behind the arc?
I said OVERALL...and actually he's shooting just above 36 from 3. He's 43% overall

I used to be annoyed by people who made a habit of criticizing Cade. Now, though, I'm just amused. None of these people could stay on the floor with this "unathletic" bad-shooting "scrub" who is simply, at best a mid-major player and wouldn't see the floor at any other Big 12 school. Nor, do they have the guts to take the floor after being so sick they'd need IV's before the game and at halftime, and still lead a divided team to a victory over Missouri. This game, alone, should make every real Sooner fan love Cade Davis, not to mention that he has spent his entire time in Norman pouring everything he has into the program.

I don't think anyone should keep shooting in a game if they can't hit. Cade isn't the kind of shooter that suddenly gets better in a game, so I'm all for the coach (ha!) telling him to back off or try something else. I'd say he needs to draw fouls but he's been mediocre from the line as well.
He IS, however, our best rebounder and defender. That's mainly why I don't mind seeing him on the court all the time.
The problem we have is that all of our players are medium level role players. Fitz is a 6th or 7th man that scores and revitalizes an offense, but he's being asked to be the primary post man when he can't rebound to save his life. Cade is a scrapper and spot up shooter that's being asked to create his own shot and run the offense. Et cetera.
He's not really shooting at an above average clip, though. He's mediocre at shooting. His D and rebounding are good, though.
He's David Godbold.
Did you just compare Davis to Godbold. REALLY...I'm sorry...but Godbold would never have done anything that Davis has done. If we switched out these 2...I doubt we win any games.
i don't know man. Godbold was solid. I would take him in a second on this team. not saying that he is better than cade, but i loved what he brought to the table
Not saying I would trade CD for DG, but they're roughly equivalent players. David's senior season was pretty dang good.

That's true. I wonder if David would have been as good on this team? I wonder how his defensive intensity would have rubbed off on the younger players?
That's a very good point.
This is my opinion as well.
I did hoop and yes I'm a legend (in my mind). No I didn't play D1, although with me being a legend and all, I think I could have at least walked on at OU. It's not true, but I was always taught to have self-confidence....anyways, a player at any level can respect Cade's heart and hustle. He's just not that talented no matter how you slice it. I'll say the same thing about myself. Here goes, "I'm an average player at best", there. Could I play on the same court as Cade though? Everyday of the week and twice on Sunday. I've guarded better players as of last week. I was on the same court as Ebi when he was dominating at McClain (he had like 46, not on me per se, but my team as a whole), I've guarded Azubuike (Victory Christian/Kentucky/NBA) (he lit me up epically but he didn't play a lick of D back then so I had my share), I was dunked on by Jack Marlow (7'2) (Union/Fresno/forgot) and Ralph Charles (Union/NSU) (I'm 6'4 so it wasn't fair to have to guard those guys), I've guarded and/or played against Jason Parker (Memorial/Tulsa), Dante Swanson (Wagoner/Tulsa), Luke Dobbins (Tahlequah/NEO/Tulsa), Junior Blount (BTW/TCU), etc, etc, etc. I was always a regular at the Bally's (it's closed now) on 61st and Memorial in T-town. All the Tulsa and ORU guys in those days (97-00) played there...I'm not boasting because like I said, "I'm an average player" compared to all these guys. Just attempting to debunk the little myth that someone would be scared of playing Cade. Never, unless you have the athletic abilities of a 100 year old. Cade doesn't provoke any fear to any of the opposing teams either. And yes, I'm proud of playing HS and NAIA ball and I don't care if you mock it or make fun of it. It is what it is. I'd likely run circles around 95-99% of this board excluding the guys that actually played D1. And that's no internet lie.
Like NormanPride stated, he's easily a middle of the pack guy in the Big 12...need we go national? I already added a stat that showed he's 321st in the nation in 3pt%! Nationally, the name Cade Davis doesn't exist. It's the equivalent of Paul Thompson in football. Local legend and a nobody amongst the masses.

Sorry I've learned that facts aren't allowed on this board. Oh well.
