Caleb Grill

Caleb Grill. I avoided your thread at first, assuming you wanted directions or a recommendation to a grill that specializes in hamburgers and cold beer.

Boy, was I wrong! :D

Interesting quote from the article linked in the OP:

Grill originally chose South Dakota State over schools including Texas Tech, Nebraska and Washington State, but he had a change of heart when the coach who recruited him, TJ Otzelberger, took the UNLV job last week.

Though Grill signed with SDSU last fall, the school has released him from his letter of intent, allowing him to enroll and play elsewhere.

If the article is factual, it is interesting that he chose SDSU over teams like Texas Tech, Nebraska and Washington State.

From what I've heard, he really liked his visit to South Dakota St and is a loyal kid who appreciated them being the first team to really recruit him heavily. If not for the coaching change, he would have stayed with them and probably not looked back.

Thanks. Good for him. We may get to see him play at KSU.

He's mid major good I've been told by many. Highly doubt he's good enough to compete in the Big 12.

These are the types we prolly need to not get imo.

There is no indication we have even talked to him. I just posted it because it is an interesting story given where he originally signed and who is looking at him now.

What's funny, though, is that so many of the critics of our recent classes have said time and again that we need to get more guys who are good, solid players who have great instincts and who can shoot, and spend less time focusing on projects who are athletic but don't know how to play the game. If this kid ends up at Creighton, ISU, or KSU, I can easily envision a lot of people saying we "missed" on him as soon as he hits a couple shots against us.
