So what you're saying is that he hasn't qualified yet?
Boca said he needed a SAT score, first post.

He is only available due to academic issues.
Agreed. I am really excited about Newell, but this is too much. We do these players no favors by over hyping them. I have read nice things about his game and am glad he wants to be a sooner. Further, he addresses a need. Can't we be excited about those things without saying he will be better than an All American? If he is I will be really happy, but I don't need to convince myself he will be to be happy he will be a sooner.
I can't believe anyone is taking any of this seriously.
other than Boca? His word is gospel.do we have a source that cooberates that other than Bocabull?
If Newell enters the 2010 draft, I'm not sure he doesn't get pick ahead of Wall and Turner. For those of you who aren't old enough to have seen a young Isiah Thomas at Indiana (myself included), you're in for a treat.
Dexter Manley stayed eligible for four years without even being able to read, so Newell can survive college. If he's not coked out like Manley, that's just frosting on the cake. The OSU 'recruiting guy' says that Newell is 'a stud' and 'could name his school, if he could spell it'.
Take that for what its worth.
