Obviously Cam has a history of having games like this then not showing up fo months but was his move to the 4 a turning point for him or just a match-up situation with A&M.

I hope it was a turning point. I really liked his effort and assertiveness. I liked the Cam Clark I saw today.

If today's performance was a forecast of things to come, I love Cam's move to the four. He was really good on both ends of the court.

Great job, Cam! :clap

He played great. A&M is fortunate OU shot so poorly in the first half and from 3 point range. They are also fortunate that M'Baye was a total no show for the game. M'Baye had zero points and zero rebounds. Lets hope that does not happen often.

Cam isn't going to play that well every night. Hopefully the energy and defense/rebounding will show up, but the offense simply isn't going to.

That said, and I posted this in the game thread, moving Clark to the 4 is good for several reasons. I think he can contribute more there. It keeps Neal on the bench. And maybe most importantly, it gives more minutes to our better guards, b/c they don't have to share time with Cam.

What Cam was able to do at the 4 today is what I thought M'Baye was going to be able to do. Those that think M'Baye is a 3, just look at the speed difference between Cam and M'Baye. Cam is quite a bit quicker, and even he couldn't find much of a way to use that speed as an advantage at the 3. Wasn't until he moved inside where you saw that mismatch. M'Baye needs to watch what Clark did today. That is what he should be doing.

Cam won't continue to knock down jumpers like that (most likely), but the rest of his impact at the 4 will be consistent. I have believed he would be an asset if he played down low offensively for quite some time.

How does mbaye have 0 pts 0 boards. So much for one and done. He's struggled quite a bit so far. I hope he turns it around.
