Cam at the 4

I haven't been able to watch any practices lately. Gary had mentioned that Coach Kruger had started getting Cam minutes at the 4 after the Arkansas game. Is he still getting minutes there? How has he looked in practice?

I think that will only be relevant when Kruger platoons the 2nd string in. And as time goes along, less and less of that will happen.

Typically, when Cam comes off the bench, he will be a 3. Osby, Fitz, and Amath will just have to cover it. I have seen them work with a 4 around 1 look some. Osby is the 1 and the rest of them are all basically playing the same position. But, all of that along with the "Big" lineup is just something that Kruger will throw in as needed.

Kruger doesn't pass out a sheet telling fans what he thinks and what he wants to do. It is basically watching how he rotates players in and out and trying to pick up clues. My opinion is that nothing has really changed much.

The starters from a month ago are still the starters. Buddy, Cam, and Fitz are the 8 man rotation. Grooms and Tyler play as needed. So far Grooms has been needed early and often. And that may continue. But, on those days and in those games Cousins can get the job done, Groom's time will come down.

I also think Kruger is higher on Tyler than many of the posters. But, I don't know how much time he will get once conference play starts.

Cam at the 4 is really advantageous in my mind for certain match-ups. When we get an athletic 4 who likes to attack off the dribble from the high post or spot up for jumpers -- when Amath or Osby go out, I would like to see Cam put on that player rather than Fitz.

Plus, I think Cam gives us a great mis-match opportunity on the offensive end if he's playing the 4.
