Cameron Clark shows signs of being unstoppable when he's making good decisions and shooting from the right spots. Do you think the light will go on next year, and he can play consistently game-to-game like he did tonight?

He is 22 of his last 34 shots (65%), has scored in double figures three of the last 5 games, and is 80% from the free throw line...and a good defender to boot.

If he stays at the 4 I think he could be a consistent 10ppg type of player next year.

If he could just settle in and achieve some consistency, he'd give a huge boost to our team -- this year and/or next year.

If we get up and down the floor next year, I think he can contribute more so than this year. I think some of it depends on what kind of point guard Woodard is.

I feel like Cameron is the most underrated bench player in the conference.

He's been shooting the ball like he's in the gym all by himself.

Cam Clark will do just fine as long as he isn't a top 2-3 option on the court. If he is option 4 or 5, and can pick his spots, he'll have some solid games. If for some reason he is expected to carry more of the load than he should be, I think you'd see a bit of a regression. His shot is still broken, I don't care how well he has been shooting it. With that form, you just can't be consistent over an entire season. Hopefully our roster will allow Cam to have the same role next year that he has this year. If so, he could excel like he has this season.

Cam has more upside than anyone playing in front of him. His problem isn't with his form, which is much improved. The results verify that. His problem is and always has been between his ears.

Kruger seems to be slowly but surely bringing him around. I think Cam will come up big next year. And it won't matter what role Kruger slots him to fill.

He hasn't been playing most of his time at the four for a few weeks now. He needs to be playing more, and after Cousins's meltdown tonight I think he will.

Off the bench? Because he isn't starting at the 4 next year. He probably won't start at the three either. Tough to average 10ppg off the bench.

I like him in exactly the role he has had this year. A defender off the bench. An energy guy. A guy you play in certain spots. And a guy that can get away with taking some "bad shots" with the 2nd unit, b/c they are a bit offensively challenged.

He's been huge lately, but I think with his shot it will be hard for him to ever be consistent.

I do think and hope he can really help the team next year.

Sheep, my thoughts exactly. Who knew he had transformed himself into larry bird. Kid can't miss. It is unreal. Supposedly they reworked his stroke in the off season, in my book, whoever did that and worked for him needs to start a private business -- would get rich. Frankly, I keep waiting for him to fall apart and he keeps playing better. Is this a mirage or has he come that far? I don't know, but I love it.

If he keeps this up, I think he starts at the 3 next year.

The difference between my post and yours is that I don't speak in absolutes about a situation as fluid as next seasons minute distribution. Please note the use of the word could. Obviously, he won't average 10ppg without increased opportunity, but unlike you I don't know if he will or will not start next season.

IMO Cam's struggles have been more about a lack of confidence in terms of his ball handling. For the better part of this season he has caught the ball in a position on the floor that allows him to take one dribble or less and have a clean look at the rim. If he sees more playing time and he is put in similar positions offensively he could be a 10ppg guy.

He is a tough cover at the 4 similar to Osby. He is not as strong off the dribble as Ro, but he can take a big away from the paint.

Great point! I have said this before and still believe he can be really good if he just stops trying to dribble, break people down and then shoot a contested or off balance jump shot.

I certainly don't want to get caught up in a big arguement on something as remote as next years Cam. But, I think the reality is opposite of your point.

Cam gets in Kruger's doghouse because he won't try to take his defender off the dribble when at the #3. Dribble penetration is what Kruger expects from that position. He thinks Cam can do it but lacks the aggessive nature to try.

Think of all the times this season we have seen Pledger duck his head, bow his neck, and barrel toward the basket. He often times looks clumsy doing it and it isn't what he he does best. But, it is what Kruger wants him to do.

I think the whole deal with Cam at the #4 was to get him in front of a defender that he had the confidence to try to take. As he migrated back to the #3 in recent games he has retained some of that aggession and confidence and has played well as a result.
